Two towns in the Somme were the scene of gunfire between Sunday evening and Monday morning.

They happened near houses.

The first were in Canaples, where a resident called the Mounties around 9 p.m. to report bangs.

The weapon used would be a hunting rifle, indicates Le Journal d'Abbeville.

The elements collected by the investigators put them on the trail of a shooting in the air.

The shooter was not immediately identified.

A house in Crotoy was also the target of a shooter, reports the local media.

Projectiles found at the scene

An occupant discovered Monday morning that one of his windows bore the trace of a bullet hole.

The man testified that he heard a series of gunshots between 4 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

He alerted the gendarmes, who confirmed that it was indeed shots and discovered several casings on the scene.
