“The United States should stop moving along the wrong path,” the ambassador added.

Earlier, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian said that the PRC urges the United States to respect Beijing's vital interests and give up illusions about using Taiwan to control China.

The Kremlin noted that tensions after the visit of the speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan will not subside quickly.
