The Dala Mitt rescue service has now started an investigation to see if something was wrong when the gas company was able to operate with flammable goods for seven months, despite the fact that the permit it had expired at New Year's.

- Right now, my assessment is that we did not fail in our exercise of authority, but that too must be investigated, says Johannes Näslund, head of the community protection department at Dala Mitt Rescue Service.

16 years since supervision was carried out

In connection with the granting of the latest permit, in 2014, a so-called inspection was carried out, which means an inspection of the facility.

The last time an inspection was carried out, with the aim of checking that handling takes place in accordance with the rules and any conditions in the permit, was in 2006.

SVT has requested Gasbolaget, which declined an interview.
