The court extended the arrest of the accused in the massacre at the University of Perm

“The term of detention should be extended by three months, until October 27,” Judge Sergei Korobeinikov said.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for September 5.

In September 2021, 18-year-old first-year student Timur Bekmansurov opened fire with a hunting smoothbore gun in the building of Perm State University.

The victims of the attack were six people aged 18 to 66 years, more than 40 people received injuries of varying severity.
