It is noted that on August 8, there were 66 active wildfires in the region on an area of ​​83.8 thousand hectares, on Tuesday evening 65 wildfires continue to operate on an area of ​​84.1 thousand hectares, of which 20 fires were localized.

The most difficult situation at the moment is in the Sovetsky, Oktyabrsky and Berezovsky districts.

To protect these settlements from fire, a group of rescuers from the Russian Emergencies Ministry came to the rescue, in total, more than 1.5 thousand people were involved in extinguishing fires.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that in the Nadymsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, a state of emergency was declared due to wildfires.
