Russia announces the destruction of a US missile depot in Ukraine

Russian forces have destroyed a depot for storing US-made HIMARs missiles and M777 howitzers near the city of Uman in central Ukraine, RIA Novosti news agency reported on Tuesday, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry said in its daily statement that it destroyed more than 300 missiles in the strike.

Kyiv has hailed the arrival of the advanced long-range HIMARS missile system from the United States as a potential game-changer, while Moscow has accused the West of "prolonging" the conflict by arming Ukraine.
