“The risk of importation of infection is regarded as low: the possibility of transmission between people has not been proven and is unlikely,” TASS reports.

Currently, no cases of infection with a new type of henipavirus have been identified in Russia.

Earlier, a group of scientists from China and Singapore identified 35 people infected with a new type of henipavirus in the Chinese provinces.
