The mess started when a woman became famous in Boliden for her many real estate deals in Boliden.

The houses changed hands shortly after the woman bought them and with big changes in price or as gifts.

Sometimes the same day the woman bought the property.

The many millions must have come from foreign accounts and according to the prosecutor, it has been unclear who was actually the final buyer, as well as where the money comes from.

The broker claims in questioning that his role has only been "writing assignments", where the woman came with ready-made property purchases.

- Even if you have an assignment where you do not handle money, but only documents, you can still be guilty of economic money laundering, says prosecutor Niklas Jeppsson.

Managed the accounting in the company

In addition to the broker from Luleå, his wife is also charged with serious tax and accounting offences.

According to the indictment, she has booked almost SEK 13 million with insufficient documentation, as well as SEK 5.6 million in payments.

The prosecutor also believes that she has not given correct information to the Tax Agency about how much money was paid out to the main suspect, the woman.

- One has an essential role in the company if you manage the bookkeeping, and the broker's involvement has been necessary for the preparation of the purchase documents, says prosecutor Niklas Jeppsson.

The broker denies wrongdoing

The broker says that he had no reason to suspect that there was anything strange about the deals.

He says in questioning that he asked the control questions that brokers are supposed to do and that the price differences can be linked to the fact that renovation work was promised.

- We believe that my client has not participated in any transactions.

No money has entered the brokerage firm's account and it cannot constitute money laundering, says the man's lawyer Jonas Westerlund.
