As BFM TV reports, Bernie Sanders has stepped up to defend the rights of the elderly.
The photograph was widely shared on social networks, with many Internet users having fun diverting it or saluting the courage of the politician.
This isn't the first time the senator has made a name for himself on Twitter.
In January 2021, Bernie Sanders sparked hilarity after a photo taken during Joe Biden's inauguration.
The octogenarian appeared there curled up in a big down jacket and wearing thick mittens.
