The parliamentarian stressed that it is necessary to create a platform that regulates the activities of suppliers and manufacturers of school supplies and clothing.
At the same time, as the vice-speaker of the State Duma explained, the proposed organization will control the production and circulation of everything related to school needs, and "prevent speculative price increases."
“When there is a single line for the cost of backpacks, textbooks and notebooks, parents will breathe easy,” Chernyshov said in a comment to RT.
He also recalled that the pandemic and sanctions have affected the budget of Russian families, especially in the regions.
“In this regard, I ask you to consider the proposal to create a single regulator, chosen by the state, an organization that will regulate the pricing policy for school supplies in order to limit any speculation on the part of retail chains,” the text of the appeal says.
Earlier, the State Duma commented on the situation with school uniforms against the backdrop of sanctions.
