So he responded to a request to comment on the statement that negotiations between Russia and Ukraine could not take place if referendums were held in the liberated territories.

Peskov also noted that there are no prerequisites for a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky.

Earlier, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporizhzhya region, said that the region was "leaving forever" from Ukraine.
