“It is a great achievement that we have no disagreements with the Narva authorities that the tank needs to be moved.
I assure you that the monuments with Soviet symbols will be transferred with respect,” Kallas was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
The mayor of Narva, Katri Raik, confirmed that the ruling coalition in the city had decided to move the tank to the museum.
Estonian President Alar Karis said that the monument to the Soviet T-34 tank in Narva, bordering Russia, no longer “fits into public space,” and suggested moving it.
