When two opposite corona poles like Karl Lauterbach and Marco Buschmann agree on a compromise under the strict supervision of the Chancellery, one would think that the middle in which they meet should not be so bad.

The second Corona attempt by the traffic light coalition promises to be just as turbulent as the first.

Like their predecessors, the Federal Ministers of Health and Justice suffer from the fact that there was never agreement in Germany as to where the middle and the middle lie in the pandemic;

secondly, as intellectual druids in their field, they run the risk of losing sight of common pharmacist common sense.

That's why they're now experiencing their Jens Spahn moment: First they can't please everyone, and in the end nobody can.

Vaccination after three months?

Criticism is primarily directed at the provision in the draft amendment to the Infection Protection Act to allow exceptions to the mask requirement if a vaccination is no more than three months old.

The intention behind this is the vaccination incentive.

But that only makes sense if a fourth or even fifth vaccination in the fall is recommended for most citizens.

STIKO doesn't see it that way yet, but has already been put under pressure by Lauterbach.

This is anything but wise, just as it is unwise to give the impression that a vaccination appointment is due every three months for the love of freedom.

If an omicron vaccine comes, prioritization will cause additional resentment.

If there is one asset in the fight against a pandemic that is absolutely worthy of protection, it is the reputation of the vaccination.

It is still the best protection and should not be discredited by tactical traffic light maneuvers.

The coalition is threatened with well-known adversity from another direction.

As long as the many indicators are not substantiated in a comprehensible way, according to which the federal states and local authorities can (or must) take their measures, an unfortunate patchwork debate threatens again.

It is definitely not just below the level of Lauterbach and Buschmann.
