While a new heat wave will hit France, the fires have resumed, especially in Brittany.

This Sunday, 20 fire starts occurred simultaneously over a distance of ten kilometers, along the same departmental road.

The criminal track is considered in the face of these fires, which required the evacuation of 300 people.

France is preparing for a new heat wave.

The fires have already resumed in Brittany.

More than 300 hectares of vegetation burned in Finistère and Morbihan.

Fires affecting in particular the Arrée mountains which have already suffered heavy damage in July.

The criminal track is privileged because the scenario of this Sunday is disturbing: 20 fire starts simultaneously in distant communes of barely ten kilometers, along the same departmental road.

300 people evacuated

So the prefecture made its arrangements.

A decree has been published in more than 70 municipalities in the department.

It is now forbidden to drive or park in the woods.

In the meantime, 300 firefighters are currently continuing to fight the flames.

They focus on the municipalities of Saint-Philibert, Locoal-Mendon and Crac'h.

Reinforcements from Ille-et-Vilaine, Vendée and Eure arrived in the early evening.

This Saturday evening, around 300 people were evacuated to the municipalities of Belz and Erdeven.

They have been welcomed in gymnasiums by the Red Cross and are still waiting for the green light from the firefighters to be able to return to their vacation rentals.
