The vacation of the members of the government began this weekend.

Ministers now have three weeks off before resuming on August 24.

Still studious holidays where some can be mobilized at any time.

Europe 1 takes stock of the different destinations they have chosen this summer.

After a particularly intense month of July, the holidays for ministers began this weekend.

The members of the government now have three weeks of rest before the Council of Ministers for the start of the school year, which will take place on August 24.

To which destinations have they gone this year?

Destinations "compatible with the exercise of responsibilities" of each

Sobriety obliges, the vast majority of the government spends its holidays in France, and in particular on the Côte d'Azur.

This is the case of Gérald Darmanin and Éric Dupont-Moretti, but also of Élisabeth Borne who is in the Var and therefore close to Fort Brégançon and Emmanuel Macron.

Another popular destination is Corsica, where Gabriel Attal, Franck Riester and Catherine Colonna stay.

Finally, the west of the country also welcomes its share of ministers: Bruno Le Maire in the Basque Country, or Pap Ndiaye, further north, in the Cotentin.

So obviously, the holidays of the ministers do not quite resemble those of everyone.

Several of them can thus be mobilized at any time.

This is the case, for example, of Gérald Darmanin in the Interior or François Braun in Health, who continues to be mobilized on the vaccine against monkey pox.

Elisabeth Borne asked everyone to choose a destination "compatible with the exercise of their responsibilities" and to be reachable several times a day.

The goal: to avoid any ignition delay if a crisis were to occur.

Several ministers will also alternate their holidays with trips within the framework of their function.

Like Rima Abdul-Malak at Culture or Hervé Berville at the Ministry of the Sea.
