A total of 15 people took part in the parachute jump on Saturday at Johannisberg airport where one man lost his life.

The man was an experienced jumper, says Sven Mörtberg, chancellor and national instructor at the Swedish Parachute Association.

- The group jumped together and were going to make a formation.

They jumped from a height of 4,000 meters.

After a while the formation would be broken up and the parachute would be released individually.

Then the man's parachute improperly deployed and began to spin around, and his spare parachute failed to deploy in time.

That's what we are right now.

Sven Mörtberg emphasizes that you cannot know the full reason for what happened in this now, but await the investigation that has begun.

- The investigation must show all the various details surrounding the jump and what caused the accident.

Partly to know what happened and partly why.

We need to know if we should change anything in our training or equipment to prevent other accidents.

How do you move on after an accident on a human level?

- We are a very close "community", we get together and talk to support each other.

We have lost a comrade.

You get together and talk and check how everyone is doing.

It is important to support each other in grief.

We have contacted the man's current flying club without success.
