  There is a small mountain station in Yongji, Jilin, the Kouqian Railway Station. This station has encountered floods three times in the past seven years. When the water level was the highest, the station was filled with ocean.

At present, more than 20 employees in the station are paying special attention to flood control and ensure safety during the flood season. How do they pass the "flood control gate"?

What happened before?

This time is the flood season, and at this time, he has to undertake a temporary but very important job, which is to regularly count and inspect the flood control materials and equipment.

  Kouqian Railway Station is a third-class station on the Shenji Line. In addition to freight trains, there will also be regular passenger trains passing by.

The small station is located between two mountains and by a river. On July 28, 2010, a severe flood occurred in Yongji, Jilin Province. The flood washed away the railway line and washed away the vehicles.

When the water level was at its highest, there was a vast ocean inside the station in front of the mouth, and the diesel locomotive was submerged in less than half a meter. The two drivers held umbrellas on the roof and waited for rescue.

  At that time, Sun Lei and his colleagues quickly organized more than 30 passengers who were waiting for the train to be transferred to the second floor, which was already the highest floor of the station, but the water level was still rising rapidly. Submerged communication cables organized the transfer of trapped travelers to higher floors next to other units.

The water was turbulent, and it was only 6 meters short. Sun Lei still remembers how he felt at that time.

This is the only safe passage. At that time, the water had submerged the steel cable, and the foot on the steel cable could no longer be seen, so I could only touch the dark. Go forward.

At that time, I was very afraid, afraid that the water would drown myself.

  And seven years later, the flood struck again.

On July 13 and 20, 2017, in just one week, Yongji County suffered two floods. The first time the water depth exceeded the window on the first floor of the station, and the second time the water depth was nearly one meter.

The flood in 2017 was also rising very fast.

We have the experience in 2010, and we have done a good job of division of labor. Some people took the computer mainframe, which has very important information, and ran to the second floor with the passenger ticket in an orderly manner.

At that time, I was mainly responsible for the light display radio station, as well as the communication radio station, lighting equipment, and the transfer of drinking water, food and other materials to the second floor.

  At that time, there were no passengers waiting at the station, and it was the seven or eight employees on duty who needed to be evacuated. All of them have participated in the flood control drills regularly organized by the station over the years, and have mastered the location of escape routes, the use of tools, and other escape methods. Many people are still in 2010. After the flood, learned to swim.

What's more different is that the station is above the communication cable, and a horizontal ladder and safety rope are erected.

  Since the flood season this year, heavy rainfall has increased significantly in Jilin Province, and Yongji County is no exception.

The station and the local water conservancy department established an early warning and notification mechanism, and identified a number of key flood control areas, and reported any dangerous situations at any time.

At the same time, several flood control projects continued to be constructed not far from Kouqian Station.
