Houthi militias escalate in Marib, Sana'a and Taiz

The Houthi militia escalated its violations of the UN truce, by launching massive attacks, at dawn on Saturday, on army and resistance sites and civilian areas in southern Ma’rib, and the Bani Dabyan district in the Khawlan district in the capital, Sana’a, and towards the army and resistance sites west of Taiz.

Field sources in Marib confirmed that the militias launched widespread attacks on army and resistance sites and civilian areas on the fronts of the Ramli axis, south of Marib, in conjunction with their violations towards new areas that were addressed and forcing the Houthi elements to retreat and flee.

The sources indicated that the militias targeted sites and areas in the districts of Al-Juba and Harib, and others towards the southern outskirts of the Wadi District, especially those located in the Balk mountain range and the outskirts of the strategic Wadi Dhanna.

The sources pointed out that the Houthi escalation caused the death and injury of a number of soldiers and civilians, in addition to destroying homes and damaging agricultural fields.

Multiple Yemeni sources had warned against the militias' exploitation to extend the truce in mobilizing operations and sending fighters to the battlefronts, as well as carrying out combat operations in strategic areas to serve their project.

In the district of Bani Dabyan in the northeastern countryside of the capital, which is close to the Ma’rib fronts, the militias carried out a combat operation and sent huge reinforcements and weapons with the aim of violating the agreement signed with the tribes to reach the Ma’rib fronts located near the Ma’rib Dam, and to penetrate the fronts of Wadi Dhanna and towards the eastern Balaq from the north. east of Ma'rib.

And local sources in Bani Dabyan reported that the tribes responded to the crowds of militias, which deliberately stormed the directorate's security department and stationed in it, which prompted the tribes to besiege the Houthi groups, and gave them an ultimatum to leave the directorate within 24 hours unless the attack and the confiscation of weapons would take place.

In Taiz, the Houthi militia intensively bombed at dawn on Saturday a number of sites and villages on the fronts west of the city of Taiz, concentrated in the areas of Al-Dhabab and the vicinity of Mount Han, and others in the northwest of the city near the air defense, Al-Thalatheen Street and the Bir Pasha area.

Field and other local sources said that Houthi shells fell at dawn today on several areas in the west and northwest of the city, without knowing the size of the losses they caused.

The militias continued to target civilians with snipers for the third day in a row, causing the injury of two civilians, bringing the number of sniper injuries in the neighborhood during the past 48 hours to five, one of whom died of his injury.

In Al-Jawf, Al-Houthi elements killed an expatriate and looted what was in his possession, while returning from expatriation, and crossing the Al-Jawf Desert, yesterday evening, as the militias cut off the main road linking Al-Jawf and Sana'a.

On the other hand, a number of Al-Jawf residents stated that the Houthi mines that they planted in the Aqaba and Sdeba areas have become a danger to civilians after torrential rains washed them into agricultural areas and towards sandy roads in the Al-Jawf desert.

In Al-Hodeidah, Houthi mines in Al-Durayhimi district, south of the governorate, caused the death of three civilians, as a Houthi mine exploded in the vehicle they were traveling in, next to the directorate’s center security department.

In Sanaa, the Syndicate of Employees of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, which is under the control of the Houthis, called for the implementation of protests and demonstrations in Sana'a to demand the militias meet their rights, including the payment of salaries, and the return of medical care to them, in light of the money obtained by the Houthis from selling energy at high prices to consumers for years.
