Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz directed today to continue attacks against the Islamic Jihad movement in the Gaza Strip, while an army spokesman threatened to expand by land and air inside the Strip, according to Israeli media.

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that Gantz conducted an assessment of the situation with the participation of military officials, and that he directed tightening measures to thwart the firing of rockets at Israel.

In this context, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Major General Hassan Salami, received today, Saturday, the Secretary-General of the Jihad Movement, Ziyad Al-Nakhala.

Salami stressed that the rapid response of the Palestinian resistance to "Zionist crimes" undoubtedly indicates that the resistance is experiencing a new chapter of strength, stressing that the strength of the Palestinian resistance shows the ability to manage major wars.

Salami added in the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards, that "the fanatical Zionist leaders are now also acquiescing and acknowledging the inability of the Zionist entity, and they talk about the imminence of its decay."

And the occupation army announced - today, Saturday - that it had arrested 19 members of the Islamic Jihad movement in the West Bank.

It is noteworthy that the occupation arrested during a large-scale military operation - last Monday evening - the leader of the Islamic Jihad movement, Basem Al-Saadi, after raiding his home in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.

The number of Palestinian martyrs as a result of the continuous Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip rose to 15, while warning sirens sounded in Ashkelon, and the Israeli army ordered the Israelis to stay in the fortified rooms as a result of the renewed firing of rockets towards Israeli cities and towns.
