China News Service, Beijing, August 4 (Reporter Liang Xiaohui Guo Chaokai) Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying hosted a regular press conference on August 4.

A reporter asked: On the 3rd, the G7 foreign ministers and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy issued a joint statement saying that they are concerned about the threat action announced by China, which may lead to unnecessary escalation, and there is no reason to use Pelosi's visit to Taiwan as aggression a pretext for sexual military action or coercion.

It is normal for lawmakers to travel internationally.

It also said that G7 members have not changed their respective one-China policies under appropriate circumstances.

What is the response of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to this?

Hua Chunying: The statement made by the G7 foreign ministers makes people feel chaotic in time and space.

The foreign ministers of these countries apparently thought they were living in the era of the Eight-Power Allied Forces more than 120 years ago.

Today's world is no longer a world where imperialist powers can show off their might and do whatever they want on the land of China, and today's China is not the old China that was bullied and slaughtered by others more than 100 years ago. Their dream of being a great power should be awakened.

I would like to emphasize a few points:

First, China has the right to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The current tension in the Taiwan Strait remains tense. The fundamental reason is that the US disregards China's strong opposition and solemn representations and condones the No. 3 figure in the US government to visit Taiwan on a US military plane. damage China's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

China has repeatedly and clearly stated its solemn position of resolute opposition, and stressed that China firmly opposes "Taiwan independence" separatism and interference by external forces, and will never leave any space for "Taiwan independence" forces of any form. The U.S. side is fully responsible for the consequences.

The malicious provocation of the United States came first, and the legitimate defense of the Chinese side came later.

In the face of wanton provocations that blatantly violate China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, China's countermeasures are justified and must be resolute and forceful.

The world sees this very clearly. Hundreds of countries have made a just voice immediately, emphasizing that they should adhere to the one-China principle and support China in safeguarding its own sovereignty and territorial integrity.

If these countries truly care about the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait, they should have dissuaded the US from taking dangerous, reckless and irresponsible provocations against China.

Before Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, they pretended to be deaf and silent, but now they have jumped out to accuse China of taking just actions, and their hypocrisy and ugly faces have been exposed.

Second, the one-China principle is an important political basis for the establishment of diplomatic relations between the seven countries and China.

China always firmly opposes any form of official exchanges between countries with diplomatic ties and the Taiwan region.

The heads of the legislatures of the seven governments are expected to abide by the foreign policies recognized and committed by the governments.

If the governments of the countries concerned do nothing and allow their parliaments to act in violation of their own foreign policies, it will only prove their political incompetence, ineffective governance, and international treachery.

Playing word games, or trying to rip off other things, on this serious issue, is pointless and will not have any effect.

Third, there is only one version and one meaning of the one-China principle, that is, there is only one China in the world, Taiwan is a part of China, and the government of the People's Republic of China is the only legitimate government representing the whole of China.

This is clearly stipulated in Resolution 2758 passed by the 26th UN General Assembly in 1971. It is the basic norm of international relations and the political basis for 181 countries, including the G7, to establish and develop diplomatic relations with China. Plug any premise suffix, and do not allow any misinterpretation.

Fourth, no matter from history or reality, the G7 members headed by the United States are the image spokespersons of aggression and coercion.

Speaking of "aggression" or "coercion", this hat is also asked to be worn by the G7 countries themselves.

Don't forget these seven countries, they do not represent the international community.

Their views are very few.

As the Singaporean scholar Ma Kaishuo pointed out a few days ago, "The Group of Seven is engaged in autocracy in the international arena." This is also fully reflected in this statement.

I would like to remind the foreign ministers of these seven countries once again that it is now the third decade of the 21st century. If their minds are still stuck on more than 100 years ago, there will be problems.
