Mr. Chen said that after he called 911, he found that a female passenger could not stand or lie down due to pain, and could only help the other person to sit up straight and wait for the ambulance and police car to arrive. "About ten minutes before the police came, a fire truck first arrived. When it arrives, I will accompany the injured woman until the ambulance arrives."
According to the New York City Police and the City Fire Department, 37 adults were safely evacuated from the overturned school bus. Among them, 33 were slightly injured and three were seriously injured, but in stable condition. The driver of the school bus was reluctant to seek medical treatment; Minors are not carried.
