"The new weapons package for Ukraine includes ammunition and armored medical vehicles," Reuters said in a statement.

It is assumed that the new aid package will be officially announced on August 8, but the amount and content may change before signing.

It currently includes ammunition for the HIMARS MLRS and NASAMS SAMs, as well as 50 M113 armored medical vehicles.

Earlier, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said that the EU allocated €1 billion to Ukraine through the European Investment Bank.

On August 2, the European Commission completed the transfer to Ukraine of the €1 billion macro-financial loan package agreed in July. 

On August 4, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired on the Donetsk theater during a farewell to the colonel of the People's Militia of the DPR, Olga Kachura (call sign Korsa).
