Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met on the sidelines of the ASEAN Ministerial Council in Cambodia with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.

According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the situation around Ukraine, the settlement in Syria and the food deal.

On July 22, Russia, Turkey and the UN signed an agreement on lifting restrictions on the supply of Russian agricultural products to world markets and on facilitating the export of Ukrainian grain.

In turn, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu met with UN Secretary General António Guterres.

During the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation in ensuring the supply of Russian fertilizers and agricultural products to world markets.
