Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Defense Control Center of Russia, informed about this.

According to him, on July 30, foreign journalists arrived in the city of Orekhov, Zaporozhye region, where the 65th Specialized Rifle Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is temporarily deployed, in order to film the facts of "indiscriminate strikes by the Russian Armed Forces."

According to the Ministry of Defense, on the night of July 31, intensive fire from mortars and multiple launch rocket systems was fired from residential areas at the positions of Russian troops.

“The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine pursued only one goal - to provoke retaliatory strikes by artillery of the Russian Armed Forces on residential areas for their subsequent fixation,” he said.

Mizintsev added that Russian troops had prevented indiscriminate strikes.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry called for recognizing Kyiv's actions regarding strikes on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant as an act of nuclear terrorism.
