A fire broke out on the territory of the Zaporozhye NPP after the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

This was reported by TASS with reference to the military-civilian administration of Energodar.

According to her, two power lines were cut off on the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, supplying electricity to an open switchgear with a capacity of 750 kW, which is necessary to provide energy and safe operation of nuclear power units.

The administration added that a fire broke out at the site of the shelling.

Firefighters arrived on the scene.

Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration (CMA) of the Zaporozhye region, said earlier that the air defense group in the region was strengthened after the last attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said that the organization is coordinating with Russia and Ukraine the delegation's trip to Zaporozhye NPP.
