According to Gilda Hamidi-Nia, for Ukraine, it is the economic aspect of grain exports that weighs the most.

At the same time, reactions to the ship being able to leave the port in Odessa have been cool.

- It is clear that it is seen as something positive - that the economy and trade will start.

At the same time, this agreement does not mean that the war will end, and that is really what is the most important issue here, she says.

According to Gilda Hamidi-Nia, exports are considered more of a success for the outside world than for the Ukrainians themselves.

No guarantees despite agreement

Even though the agreement is in place, there are no guarantees for a risk-free export.

From the Ukrainian side, they worry about a Russian invasion from the Black Sea, while Russia worries that the ships docking in the ports will be loaded with more weapons that could be used in the war.

Is there anything in that worry?

- It is an ongoing war and there are two warring parties, and it has been shown that it may not be possible to trust each other.

From the Ukrainian side, they are preparing for the very worst.

Only a few days after the agreement was signed, the port of Odessa was attacked.

Even if the agreement is in place, there are no guarantees.

The presence of war an involuntary everyday life

The war is palpable in Odessa, says Gilda Hamidi-Nia.

SVT's team is not allowed to film the port, the water or the beaches because of the security risk and if there is any kind of military activity in the area.

According to Gilda Hamidi-Nia, the place is very unsafe.

At the same time, ordinary life goes on in Odessa and in other Ukrainian cities.

- Now in the morning we see people jogging, doing yoga together and children playing in the parks.

More and more restaurants and bars have also opened.

It's really a bigger activity around the cities.

The presence of war has become an involuntary everyday life that people have had to adapt to, she says.
