As noted in the Russian Foreign Ministry, the ambassador “was strongly protested in connection with the unacceptable behavior of the Consul of the Norwegian Consulate General E. Ellingsen in the hotel of Murmansk on July 6, which allowed herself insulting Russophobic statements.”
“After what happened, E. Ellingsen’s stay on the territory of the Russian Federation is impossible,” the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Ellingsen's behavior in one of the Russian hotels is an act of hatred and nationalism.
