Kristersson got to see the farm Björsnäs where large warehouses have been built for various companies, now the municipal management wants to expand and buy more of the agricultural land.

Land that the farming family Trozelli has refused to sell.

Hear Henning Trozelli tell in the video why he does not want to sell his land.

Heavy price increases

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, farmers have been hit by high fuel prices, high electricity costs and increasingly expensive feed.

And during the tour, Kristersson took the opportunity to talk about how important he thinks it is to have lower fuel prices in rural areas:

- Lower the price of diesel otherwise these companies will not survive.

Farmer Henning Trozelli said that fuel prices on his farm have now risen from SEK 700,000 per year to SEK 1.6 million.

But he says that the prices of fertilizers have increased even more since Russia started the war against Ukraine.

From three to eight kroner per kilo.

To which Ulf Kristersson replied that he would like to see Sweden deal with agricultural issues like Finland, as preparedness issues.

- On the one hand, I think we should think a little more like Finland, these are preparedness issues, these are long-term security issues, not just hoping that everything will work out.
