For several years, Jones spread claims about a school shooting in the community of Sandy Hook in the state of Connecticut in 2012. A total of 27 students and teachers were killed at the school.

Among other things, survivors and relatives were singled out as actors, and the whole incident was claimed to be made up.

Several of those named have sued Jones for defamation.

He has previously been ordered to pay damages in a separate lawsuit in the state of Texas.

Sentenced to pay damages

The most recent lawsuit concerned parents who were singled out as actors.

In total, Jones must pay them more than 4 million dollars, corresponding to more than 40 million kroner, in damages.

During the most recent trial, Jones admitted that the incident was "100 percent real."
