This is the great return to France of foreign tourists after the Covid period.

Europeans, Americans, Asians or Africans take advantage of these moments of freedom to visit our beautiful country.

In Paris, they stroll through the streets of the Latin Quarter, take selfies in front of the Eiffel Tower, marvel at Notre-Dame or visit the Grévin Museum.

An entire program !

Tourist activity has resumed well in France, and especially in Paris where tourists are flocking this summer.

After two years marked by health restrictions linked to Covid-19, Europeans, Americans, Asians or Africans are taking advantage of their newfound freedom to discover the jewels of the capital.

First trip abroad since the Covid

Tali and her family walk around the capital, looking amazed, selfie stick in hand.

They are from Israel, and they have been waiting for this trip for a long time.

"Three years since the Covid. Before, we went to a different country every year", she explains at the microphone of Europe 1. "There is the whole family there".

A long wait for Claire and her family too.

They are Americans.

It's their first trip since the Covid and the program is busy.

Five times more foreign tourists at the Grévin museum

"We spent a morning in Versailles, we went to see the Eiffel Tower, we are going to the Jardin d'acclimatation, to the museum. It's the first time in Paris for the children", she says on Europe 1 His children are excited to enter the Grévin museum, where the management is delighted to see so many tourists.

"Foreign tourists are back in the capital," notes Véronique Berecz, in charge of the museum's external relations.

"Most of them are Europeans and the rest are scattered around the world. We didn't necessarily expect such a quick return."

Moreover, the famous wax museum welcomes an average of 15% of foreign tourists this summer.

This is five times more than last year.
