Deputy Belousov did not come to the meeting on his case in the Moscow City Court

According to RIA Novosti, the judge began to read the verdict the day before, finding Belousov guilty of taking a bribe.

“The court considered Belousov’s failure to appear as a disrespectful reason and resumed the announcement of the verdict,” the press service of the court explained.

The leader of the Just Russia - For Truth party, Sergei Mironov, told RIA Novosti that State Duma deputy Vadim Belousov is in Russia.

On August 2, the Moscow City Court found State Duma deputy Vadim Belousov guilty in a case of a bribe in the amount of 3.25 billion rubles.

Margarita Butakova, the former chief accountant of Chelyabinsk First Khlebokombinat OJSC, is also a defendant in the case.

According to investigators, from 2010 to 2014, Vadim Belousov and Margarita Butakova, as part of an organized criminal group, together with the ex-governor of the Chelyabinsk region Mikhail Yurevich and other persons, received a bribe from representatives of a road construction holding for general patronage of the activities of its enterprises.
