In the clip, you hear Rickard Nordin (C) and Christofer Bergenblock (C), municipal councilor in Varberg, talk about how the process should be shortened.

Three large wind farms are currently being planned along the coast of Halland.

Christofer Bergenblock (C), municipal councilor in Varberg and first candidate for the party's parliamentary list in Halland, sees the expansion of facilities in the county as an important piece of the puzzle for future energy supply.

- The part where we see that we have the greatest potential is the offshore wind power, he says.

Want to retain municipal veto

SVT Nyheter Halland has previously reported on the conflicts of interest that arise when wind farms are to be established and possible consequences for commercial fishing and the marine environment.

Rickard Nordin (C) believes that the application process can be shortened without risking it becoming less democratic.

He wants to keep the municipal wind power veto that exists today, but thinks that residents in municipalities that are affected by wind power should receive benefits from it, for example through a redistribution of taxes.

- For example, we want the property tax to stay local, he says.
