Now those who sell white snus are being checked - the environmental inspector: "Looking at who reported it"

VItt snus is a tobacco-free nicotine product for which there was previously no age limit.

However, a new law came into force yesterday which means an 18-year age limit for tobacco-free nicotine products and that those who sell the white snus must report this to the municipality.

Unclear how many are selling

Anna Malmqvist Hed, environmental inspector in Eskilstuna for, among other things, tobacco, says that around 40 different points of sale in town have applied for permission to continue sales.

But how many actually sell tobacco-free nicotine products is unclear.

- We don't know at all.

We know that there are approximately 60 who sell tobacco, she says.

But according to her, there may be many more who sell the white snus because it was not previously regulated.
