Ukraine accused Russia of launching missile attacks targeting the Black Sea region of Odessa.

The city council of the capital of the Odessa region, citing the Southern Command of the Ukrainian army, said that two Iskander missiles were launched from Crimea.

According to the regional administration, the projectiles hit a quarry.

She said in a statement on Facebook that the situation is still being clarified about the possibility of casualties.

Earlier, celebrations marking Russian Navy Day in Russia-controlled Crimea were canceled following an alleged attack by Ukrainian forces on the Russian Black Sea Fleet there.

The Ukrainian navy denies the accusations.
