Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Tochitsky called for the introduction of a no-fly zone over Ukrainian nuclear power plants

“We are asking you to close the sky over the nuclear power plants of Ukraine, to provide missile defense systems,” RIA Novosti quotes Tochitsky.

He stated the need to take decisive joint action to prevent a nuclear catastrophe at the global level. 

Earlier it became known that Ukrainian attack drones attacked the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in Energodar.

The reactor part of the nuclear power plant was not damaged.

Later, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Russia sent an appeal to the IAEA against the backdrop of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

Ivan Nechaev, Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, noted that shelling by the Ukrainian military of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant deliberately leads to a large-scale man-made disaster.
