Today, Monday, the composition of the new Kuwaiti government was announced, which was recently entrusted with the task of forming it to Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The Kuwait News Agency said that Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issued an Emiri decree to form the government, which includes 12 ministers.

The composition of the new government did not witness major changes in the main ministries, and Muhammad Al-Faris was reappointed as Minister of Oil and Abdul Wahab Al-Rasheed as Minister of Finance.

Among the tasks that this government will undertake are approving the budget, procedures for dissolving parliament and calling for new parliamentary elections, in accordance with the road map announced by the Crown Prince last June.

A week ago, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, issued an Emiri decree appointing the Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister and assigning him to form the new government.

The Kuwaiti government, headed by Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, submitted its resignation last April 5, against the background of an interrogation submitted to Al-Khaled, and he received parliamentary support for not cooperating with his government.

On May 10, the Kuwaiti Crown Prince issued a decision accepting the fourth resignation of Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah.
