Turkey and Uzbekistan held a teleconference to discuss the latest progress of the joint coordination center's grain transportation work

  On July 31, local time, Turkish Defense Minister Akar held a conference call with Ukrainian Defense Minister Reznikov and Infrastructure Minister Kubrakov.

  According to a statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Defense, during the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the latest progress in the preparations for grain transportation carried out by the Istanbul Joint Coordination Center for Black Sea Grain Outbound Transportation.

The statement said that the technical work for transporting the grain has been completed at present, and it is planned to be shipped as soon as possible after other administrative preparations are completed.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of the staff of the Joint Coordination Center.

  On July 29, local time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready to export Ukrainian grain and is waiting for signals from Turkey and the United Nations to start shipping.

  On July 22, local time, Russia and Ukraine signed an agreement with Turkey and the United Nations on the issue of exporting agricultural products from Black Sea ports.

According to the agreement, the four parties established the Black Sea Grain Outbound Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul to jointly manage grain outbound transportation from the Black Sea ports to ensure the safety of grain routes.
