The Israeli occupation army announced this evening, Monday, that it "intercepted a drone believed to be for the Lebanese Hezbollah, after it crossed the airspace of northern Israel."

The army said in a statement that "the soldiers monitored and intercepted a drone that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory," adding that it "probably belongs to the Lebanese Hezbollah."

A drone that likely belongs to the Hezbollah terrorist army crossed from Lebanon into Israel.

IDF soldiers spotted, monitored and downed the drone.

Earlier this July, the occupation announced the interception of 3 drones that approached the "Israeli economic waters".

The statement accused Hezbollah of launching those planes towards the Karish gas field, noting that they were intercepted by a warplane and a missile ship.

On the other hand, the Lebanese Hezbollah said that it had already launched 3 unarmed drones towards the disputed area at the Karish field to carry out reconnaissance missions, adding that "the reconnaissance mission has been completed and the message has arrived."

Regarding the drone attack earlier this month, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah said, "This is the first time that such an attack has taken place, and that it is aimed at alerting the workers on board the ship that it is not a safe area."

The incident comes amid tension between Israel and Lebanon over the demarcation of the maritime border.
