Yesterday, the Israeli government approved accelerating the implementation of a joint industrial zone project with Jordan.

Prime Minister Yair Lapid's official Facebook page quoted him as saying, "After 28 years of concluding the peace treaty with Jordan, we are pushing the good-neighborly relations between the two countries one step further."

"The initiative will bring job opportunities to both countries, advance our economic and political relations, and consolidate peace and friendship between the two countries," he said, adding that the last details of this project were completed during his recent visit to Jordan.

The project relates to a joint industrial zone located along the border that will allow Israeli and Jordanian entrepreneurs and businessmen to communicate directly.

It will create projects in the fields of trade, technology and local industry.

Minister of Transport and Road Safety Merav Michaeli commented: "I welcome every measure that would improve relations with the Kingdom of Jordan, as we consider Jordan a strategic partner of crucial importance in the stability of the entire region."

It should be noted that the idea of the “Jordan Gate” project was raised during the talks that led to the conclusion of the peace treaty in 1994.

On the other hand, the Israeli Air Force announced the suspension of training flights for all F-35 fighters due to the suspicion of a technical defect in the ejection chair system.

Yesterday, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation quoted the army that all aircraft will be carefully examined in the coming days.

Air Force sources said that the operational flights of these aircraft will continue as necessary.
