Palma de Mallorca A man arrested for placing a camera in a bottle in a bathroom and recording at least 38 women
An 18-year-old girl has been
arrested in Palma
after
making up and denouncing that she had been kidnapped and raped
to avoid family reprimand for having spent several days away from home.
As reported this Sunday by the National Police, the girl was arrested last Friday
accused of simulating a crime
after the investigators verified the falsity of her complaint.
She had said that
a man forced her into a car
and took her to a building where he kept her incommunicado for several days and was
the victim of a sexual assault
.
The agents who received the complaint took her to a health center to undergo a
medical examination
and later to the police station where she filed the complaint.
The Family and Women's Care Unit (UFAM) launched an investigation to clarify the facts and found that the young woman had invented the kidnapping and sexual assault to
prevent her family from getting angry with her
for having spent a few days away from home. .
After her arrest and statement, the young woman was released with charges.
The Police recalls in its press release that the simulation of a crime is a
criminal offense
and stresses that "discovering these impostors is a priority for the agents, since every hour dedicated to investigating their false cases is an hour that is not dedicated to investigate other real crimes.
