The number of deaths in the impact of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the pre-trial detention center in Yelenovka increased to 53

“In Yelenovka, 53 people were killed and another 75 were injured,” the DPR territorial defense headquarters said in a Telegram message.

It is noted that, presumably, the blow was delivered by the HIMARS MLRS.

The DPR said that the strike was carried out "in order to cover up the traces of war crimes committed against the civilian population of Donbass, and thereby force the rest to continue hostilities, and not to surrender."

Earlier, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that the death toll from Ukraine's strike on the pre-trial detention center in Yelenovka had risen to 47.
