The police were called to a residential area in Nyby in Uppsala at around 11pm on Thursday evening after a suspected dangerous object was discovered by a resident.
According to the police, it appears to be some kind of bomb.
- It is a small home construction that was found outdoors, says Viktor Åkring Dicksved, officer on duty at the police.
The item was checked and the National Bomb Squad was called to the scene.
According to the police, the object is assessed as sharp but harmless in its current form.

During the night, the police left the scene.
No one has been arrested, but a report of grossly illegal threats and attempts at public dangerous destruction has been drawn up.
