As specified on the Kremlin website, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, during a meeting with the Russian leader, proposed agreeing on the option of paying a housing certificate to buy housing on the territory of the DPR to those residents of Mariupol and other territories who are not ready to wait for the restoration of their damaged homes.

The Deputy Prime Minister also announced plans to allocate funds for repairs inside an apartment or private houses at the rate of six thousand rubles per square meter.

“Plus, you instructed to work out the possibility of a lump sum payment.

We have worked out, Mr President, we have taken as a basis the mechanism that was approved in Irkutsk during the flood, you know it well, I headed the headquarters there on your instructions, and I constantly reported to you about these issues.

Here we propose to apply the same mechanism in these territories and to all people who want to be repaired, we will provide payment to everyone, ”Khusnullin said.

Putin supported the initiative, but suggested that it be extended not only to the territory of the DPR, but also to the LPR.

Earlier, the mayor of Mariupol Konstantin Ivashchenko said that the main housing stock of the city would be restored by 2024.

According to him, there is a lot of work to be done - only now specialists are working 10 hours a day, sorting out the rubble.
