According to RIA Novosti, the Chisinau Court of Appeal rejected the request of Dodon's lawyers to cancel the decision to extend the house arrest.

“The court rejected the appeal of the defense of the former president and upheld the previous decision to extend the period of house arrest for a period of 30 days.

In addition, the judges limited Dodon's communication, including with the press.

The Court of Appeal took into account these arguments of the prosecutors,” Yarmalyuk said.

Previously, former President of Moldova Igor Dodon, who was under investigation, was extended his house arrest for another 30 days, until August 20.
