End of a record course of Felipe VI: from 'sending' in NATO to proximity in Las Hurdes

Thus ends a course, the first after Covid, in which Don Felipe has reinforced his role as institutional representative.

He has had two state trips, has set foot on three continents and has even changed traditions and closed the crisis with his father, Don Juan Carlos.

Don Felipe's school year began on September 2 in

From that day until yesterday, July 28, he has been in all the autonomous communities, although he has not visited

His presence in

has been constant, with seven trips in 11 months.

But the King has also been able to visit places that he had never traveled to, such as

His visit to the region of Extremadura was very special, as it commemorated the centenary of the visit of his great-grandfather,

Internationally, Don Felipe was in

A few numbers are enough to verify the King's public workload: in the 331 days that go from September 1 to July 28 - the closing of this article -, the King added 215 acts and 110 hearings.

Some work meetings whose load has increased these months, so in June it had 13 and in July 32. They are a type of event in which Don Felipe can receive different representative groups of society, from economic sectors to public workers.

Last Tuesday, for example, he received a representation of the new promotions of the Treasury Inspectors.

These are times when he can meet a larger number of people, more than 10,000 in July.

The King had acts with all kinds of social sectors: from science, research or businessmen.

Also representatives of Culture, from letters to bullfighting, presiding over the traditional Charity bullfight in Las Ventas.

In his place, Holy Saturday was spent with the family at the Creade in Pozuelo de Alarcón, visiting the Ukrainian refugees.

It seems that his presence on Easter Sunday is a custom that will not be repeated, and the Family will opt for acts of a more social nature.

On August 4, another novelty will be released on the Casa's agenda.

The awkward meeting with his father in May

Perhaps one of the most momentous (and bitter) appointments this year for Felipe VI was one of those that were not on the agenda.

On May 23, Don Felipe received Don Juan Carlos in Zarzuela.

The meeting took place after the King's father's four-day trip to Sanxenxo.

Despite the fact that it was conceived as a private and family meeting, given the expectation, Zarzuela decided to issue a statement to explain how the expected meeting had gone.
