A violent road accident took place this Thursday in the town of Eymet, in Dordogne.

Two cars collided head-on, causing the death of three people according to France Bleu Périgord.

In one of the vehicles, a resident of the town in her fifties, in cardiorespiratory arrest, could not be resuscitated.

The sixties who were in the other car with their grandchildren also died despite the rapid intervention of the emergency services.

The two children aged 15 and 10 were injured, in the pelvis and in the face.

The boy was transported by helicopter to the Bordeaux University Hospital.

A diversion has been put in place by the gendarmes who will have to determine why one of the two vehicles swerved into the opposite lane.
