Eksjö International Tattoo carries out a number of performances on the square in Eksjö, but the marching music will be felt throughout Jönköping County.
During the event, concerts and city marches are held in various locations.
- This is the only tattoo that is organized in Sweden.
We are a small town and a small organizer, but if you look at it from a quality point of view, we are the only ones in Sweden at this level, says Lennart Bogren who is chairman of Eksjö International Tattoo.
"Putting Eksjö on the map"
Annelie Hägg was present during the march.
Annelie Hägg, chairman of the municipal board, was present during the first city march in Eksjö.
She thinks it is a very important event for Eksjö.
- It puts Eksjö on the map.
We will have a folk festival for many days to come.
She says the event is based on a huge sense of pride.
- This is based on a historical tradition with us based on the military historical heritage that we have.
