Mai Ezz El Din is the worst actress.

Under the title "The 50 Worst Egyptian Films in 10 Years", the monthly magazine "Good News Cinema" named a large number of Egyptian films, stars and filmmakers, within a large file that is the highlight of the new issue of the magazine, which is issued within a few days.

The supervisor of the press file, Mohamed Abdel Aziz, said, "They chose the date of the screening of the movie "Saeedi at the American University" by Mohamed Henedy, Ahmed El-Sakka, Mona Zaki, Ghada Adel, Hani Ramzy and directed by Saeed Hamed, as the beginning of a new phase in Egyptian cinema, whose effects are still continuing until now.

The file, according to its supervisor, monitored all the films that were shown starting in the summer of 1998, and the magazine's staff gave "20 editors" a score of 10 for each movie they watched, so that the 50 films with the lowest number of degrees were selected, to be included in the list of the worst that came full of surprises.

In the first place in terms of technical badness came the movie “The 16 Crime Division” by singers Issam Karika and Rico and directed by Hamed Saeed, which was shown two years ago, and which the list described as “a movie not worth watching at all,” while the films ranked from second to tenth place, starting with “Bleiacho.” » by Haitham Ahmed Zaki and Fathi Abdel Wahab, directed by Imad Al-Bahat, “Moments of Femininity” by Jumana Murad and Ibrahim Yousry, directed by Moans Al-Shorbagy, “The Story of the Popular Neighborhood” by Talaat Zakaria and Nicole Saba and directed by Ashraf Fayek, and “Qeshta Yaba” by Yasmine Al-Najjar and singer Mustafa Kamel and directed by Atef Shoukry.

While the magazine with the rating is financed by the Good News Corporation, which also owns a production company, the list of the worst films produced by the company is “Morgan Ahmed Morgan”, starring Adel Imam and directed by Ali Idris, who ranked 25th in the list of the worst.

Ironically, veteran director Ali Abdel Khaleq won the title of “Worst Director” due to the presence of five films of his directorship in the list, which included directors Ahmed Al-Badri and Imad Al-Bahat.

Actress Mai Ezz El-Din won the title of the worst actress, because four films in which she participated entered the list, followed by Sumaya El-Khashab and Dalia El-Behairy, while actor Tamer Hejres was named the worst actor, followed by Mustafa Qamar and Mohamed Attia. He was followed by the authors Ahmed Abdullah and Essam Shammaa.

The list's authors said that 16 films were excluded from the rating, as only three or fewer editors watched and evaluated them, so it was unfair to be placed on the list, despite the fact that they are considered "bad" films and deserve to be included in the list.

The evaluation resulted in a list of the 10 best films in recent years, which included, in order, “Erq Al-Balah” by Radwan Al-Kashef, “Free of Cholesterol” by Muhammad Abu Seif, “The City” by Yousry Nasrallah, “The Best Times” by Hala Khalil, and “Closed Doors” "Atef Hatata", "Paradise of Devils", "I Love Sima" by Osama Fawzy, "Citizen, Detective and Thief" by Daoud Abdel Sayed, "Bab Al Shams" by Yousry Nasrallah, and "Land of Fear" by Daoud Abdel Sayed.
