Sak noted that the A-10s "won't close the airspace and stop the bombers and missiles," so Ukraine needs "more modern" F-16s.

Earlier, Assistant to the President of the United States for National Security Jake Sullivan said that the United States would not provide Ukraine with guided tactical ballistic missiles of the ATACMS series for the M142 HIMARS MLRS.

As General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CNS) of the US Armed Forces, noted on July 20, Washington handed over 12 of the promised 20 HIMARS MLRS to Kyiv and trained more than 200 Ukrainian military personnel in their use.

At the same time, the Kyiv authorities expect the United States to supply the Ukrainian army with 25-30 HIMARS and MLRS multiple launch rocket systems and a lot of ammunition for them.
