Today, Wednesday, the Syrian regime news agency (SANA) reported that a missile attack targeted a US military base in Al-Shaddadi district, which is controlled by the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces, in the eastern countryside of Hasaka.

The agency indicated that the attack was in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and that it was using several rocket-propelled grenades, without giving details of the results of the attack.

For its part, local opposition media said that several explosions were heard in al-Shaddadi district in the Hasaka countryside, and that the explosions coincided with the intense flight of warplanes and helicopters of the international coalition over the area.

No party has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the US side has not issued an immediate comment on the matter.

During the past years, several locations and concentrations of the international coalition forces led by Washington in Syria witnessed sporadic attacks, each time accusing one of the various parties to the conflict, such as Russia, Iran and its loyal factions, and the Islamic State and the regime forces, to be responsible.
